Course Description
This course covers relevant automated and manual techniques used in planning, scheduling and monitoring of human and non-human resources required to deliver the project outcomes. The areas of study include: work breakdown; structure development and use; project resources requirements; planning, acquisition, and allocation to develop a network plan; scheduling and schedule calculations and optimization; resource constrained scheduling; resource levelling; and schedule control. The primary knowledge areas of The Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK ) - Scope - Time and Cost Management will be covered and reinforced by real-life case studies and/or laboratory exercises. Note: students taking this course will need to have the following software requirements: MS Project Professional 2007, MS Visio 2007, MS Excel 2007, and MS PowerPoint 2007. It is highly recommended that students take PMPC 803 Project Management Principles prior to enrolling in PMPC 801. This course is registered with Project Management Institute (PMI) and is eligible for 42 professional development units (PDUs).Applies Towards the Following Certificates
