Course Description

Delivered as a 3-day Training Summit for justice professionals, this groundbreaking microcredential covers the application of Investigative Genetic Genealogy (IGG) in a current, or historical, investigation. Modules address a range of topics and best practices, including lawfulness and privacy rights, genealogy and forensic science, pathology, investigative strategies, and the social impact of using IGG to solve criminal cases. Case studies are provided to showcase proper use of IGG and to demonstrate the diversity and complexity of decisions that investigators must navigate.
